Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department serves Chase, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Hayes, Hitchcock, Red Willow & Perkins counties.

Our public health professionals assure our service area will have competent public health and a personal healthcare force.

Public health professionals prevent epidemics, the spread of disease, injuries; protect against environmental hazards; promote healthy behaviors; respond to disasters, assist communities in recovery; & assure the quality & accessibility of health services.

Many public health programs are offered by the Nebraska Public Health Department and SWNPHD. An overview of a few of those programs is provided including Public Health Nurse, Respite, Lifespan Respite Subsidy, Kids Connection & ARF Movement.

Public Health Nurse - This program provides centralized access for Medicaid eligible and potentially eligible individuals and families .

Respite services provide short-term relief to primary caregivers from the demands of ongoing care for an individual with special needs.

SWNPHD Board of Trustees from Chase, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Hayes, Hitchcock, Perkins & Red Willow counties.

In an effort to promote your health and awareness these events are sponsored or provided by Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department.
