Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department

Public Health - Prevent. Promote. Protect.

Volunteer Program

Recruitment of volunteers can be broad-based or skill specific. Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department will look at the type of volunteers needed and then develop a recruitment strategy.

Some potential sources for recruiting volunteers are high schools, colleges, businesses, churches, civic groups, professional organizations, service clubs, fraternal clubs, social service agencies, trade associations, senior citizen groups, community or neighborhood groups, parent-teacher associations, or volunteer centers.

The health department depends on volunteers for mass clinics or pandemic type situations (i.e. avian flu) to provide a continuum of health for the residents of our district.
