Bioterrorism Agents and Threats

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provide information on many of the potential bioterrorism agents and threats.


Emergency Systems for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals

The US Department of Health & Human Services provides this program that verifies health professionals' identification and credentials so that they can respond more quickly when disaster strikes. Registered volunteers are able to serve at a moment's notice, within their state or across state lines, to provide needed help during an emergency.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration offers the Disaster Distress Hotline as the first national hotline dedicated to providing year round disaster crisis counseling and support to people experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters.
